Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quote tool asks for gender, date of birth, general health condition, tobacco use, coverage amount and term length. Those six answers are enough to retrieve carrier rates. Your name, address and detailed health information are collected only if you choose to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

They are the rates each carrier quotes for the underwriting class you selected. The final premium is set by each carrier through its underwriting process, which may confirm, improve or change the class. All rates on this site are for information only and are not an offer of insurance or a guarantee of any specific price.

What happens when I click Apply?

You continue into a secure application prefilled with the answers you gave on this site. You can stop at any point and resume later, and you sign electronically when ready. The application is handled by Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129).

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on the carrier, the coverage amount and your answers. Many term products now offer accelerated underwriting for eligible applicants, with decisions often coming back the same day and no exam required. Each quote on this site indicates whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required for that specific product.

Is a longer term better?

A term should match the years when a family or business would be hurt most by the loss of an income—a mortgage, dependent children, a business loan. Longer terms cost more per month but lock the rate in for more years. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year terms side by side.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool does not collect your name, phone or email to show rates, we do not sell or share any visitor information, and all our measurement is done without cookies or tracking pixels. See the privacy page for a complete description of what is collected and by whom.
